"The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad."
Psalm 126:3
Delivered from 15 Years of Insomnia
My name is Romana. I was born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan, and
moved to Sweden in 2009. Six months after arriving, I began suffering
from insomnia and depression. I sought help from several doctors, but
they couldn’t identify a cause. Instead, they prescribed medications for
anxiety and depression, which did not help. Feeling hopeless, I
attempted to end my life by overdosing on the medication. Fortunately,
my sister found me in time and rushed me to the hospital. The doctors
managed to save me but transferred me to a mental asylum, fearing I
might harm myself again. I stayed there for two months and was
eventually released when they realized I was not mentally ill. Desperate
for a cure to my insomnia, I turned to traditional medicine
practitioners in Ethiopia and Sudan. During my first visit to Ethiopia,
I underwent a baptism ritual that lasted three weeks with an herbal medicine practitioner. He claimed I was possessed by many evil spirits, including a Budha spirit, and needed to be delivered. When he began the ritual, I felt as if I were being strangled and experienced intense pain. Though he told those around him I was being delivered, I told my sister I felt the devil choking me and was scared for my life. My sister insisted he stop, and we left.
After returning to Sweden, my mother convinced me to go back to Ethiopia to see another warlock, a relative of my sister’s husband. When we arrived at his house, the walls were covered in curtains, and people sat in a dim room filled with burning incense. The warlock sat behind a veil, unseen directly by anyone. He asked my name and told me I had a sleeping problem, that I would have a son in the future, but life would be difficult. He ordered me to undergo a seven-day ritual immersion in “holy” water to be healed.
The warlock also told me a man had given me a ring in the past. I did not remember receiving one, but when he asked me to open my hand, I realized I was wearing a ring given to me long ago by my neighbor. The warlock said the ring was cursed and instructed me to remove it and throw it away. When I took off the ring, I felt a strange sensation in my body. I then followed his instructions and completed the seven-day water immersion ritual.
I traveled to Sudan for my brother’s wedding, and there my mother took me to a sheik for healing. He prayed for me over seven days and requested that we bring and sacrifice four sheep, two for his housemates and two for his “spiritual aids,” referring to spiritual beings who assist him. He also gave me various items to use daily, such as perfume, small bones, and incense. Despite all this, I did not heal. I visited many similar healers during my stay, but nothing changed. I spent large sums of money and sacrificed sheep and oxen for many witches and warlocks but continued to suffer from insomnia and additional health problems.
Back in Sweden, a friend introduced me to a woman who practiced both Catholicism and herbal medicine combined with witchcraft. She gave me paraphernalia including statues of Saint Mary, anointed water, and incense. Another man, who professed to be a devout Christian, instructed me to perform a ritual of making coffee every Monday while wearing a red dress. He did not consider this witchcraft. He gave me a ring and the red dress to wear during the ritual. However, the ritual did not resolve my insomnia and introduced another problem, an abnormal menstrual cycle if I broke the ritual. If I skipped a Monday, I experienced menstrual bleeding outside of my normal cycle.
I also sought prayer from a Christian “prophet” who was a pastor at our local church. He prayed for me in front of his congregation but did not see any physical reaction. He told me I needed to get on my knees and cry if I was truly a believer while he prayed. I told him I was not emotional and did not feel anything. Realizing he could not heal me, I left the church.
At some point, I discovered Prophet Yemane of Christ Jesus for All Nations Church through social media. As soon as I began following him, I felt compelled to meet him and receive prayer for healing. I was desperate and eager to see him in person. Fortunately, he held a conference in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2024, and I went there with my siblings.
On my way to the conference, I received an urgent call that my father had fallen ill and needed my immediate attention. As we approached the conference entrance, we encountered the Prophet. I asked him to pray quickly for me so we could leave to attend to my father. He asked, “Is there anything you can do for your father if he died? He will be fine. Just attend the conference, and you will be delivered.”
I decided to stay. During the service, the Prophet asked me to remove my ring. He then placed his hand on my head and prayed for me. Instantly, I felt a shock throughout my body followed by a wave of exhaustion. It felt as though something left my body, and I became very sleepy. After the conference, I slept on the train and then fell into a deep, restful sleep. I woke the next morning feeling fully restored.
I had not slept like that in fifteen years, since my insomnia began. I felt like I had found my old self again. Now I sleep like a healthy person. I stopped all medications and abandoned the rituals I had been practising because I was finally healed.
After this experience, I wholeheartedly believe that Prophet Yemane is a man of God, anointed by Jesus. I encourage everyone to meet him or connect with CJFAN ministry to receive blessings and deliverances like I have, in Jesus’ name.
